Photoscripts: Snapshots of Ephemeral Moments
For more than two decades, Constance Van Rolleghem has pursued the freedom of communication by any means, focusing on writing “Scriptograms” - compositions of expressionist writings.
Her “Photoscripts” are an evolution of the most abstract sense of language, where what remains of the word is a physical trace of a moment or gesture. She has applied her concepts of gestural writings, layering, transparency and materials used in her paintings to her “Photoscripts”, which are photographs of a temporary juxtaposition with the residuals of her own paintings that capture the ephemeral part of language.
Her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in galleries in New York and Brussels.
